About Me

Yasemin is a multidisciplinary storyteller passionate about questioning the status quo, committed to diversity, and interested in exploring ways to create a better world.  She has forged a career across mobile phone app development, digital strategy, the arts, comedy, performance and film/tv.  

Yasemin graduated with an degree in screen studies and theatre production(performance) followed by receiving First Class Honours in performance and digital art. As a first gen Australian with a Turkish and Muslim background her award winning Honours video and research focussed on the representation of Middle Eastern women in the media seen through Western eyes Post Sep 11.


Her works have won grants, awards and toured nationally and internationally. After a near death experience and battle with chronic illness which she overcame she discovered the transience of life and focussed on her love of performance and writing. 


Yasemin has worked with clients like Federation Square, Splendour in the Grass, E games Expo, Amnesty International, Footscray Arts Centre, Ethereum Foundation, National Gallery of Australia and she started Adelaide’s first street art festival. Science fiction, meditation, Bubble tea and whiskers on kittens are a few of her favourite things.


Recently Yasemin was selected into AFTRS talent camp, Midsumma 2020 Pathways disabled artists and received a diversity scholarship for improv comedy. Yasemin returned from LA  early due to Corona where she was doing stand up and studying improv comedy, sketch, TV writing and acting. Harnessing these rich life experiences she’s focussed on becoming a Show runner, writer and performer.
